Daily Delicious – OpenID and the Identity Systems of Yahoo, Google and MSN

Like it or not, a centralized, singular personal identification system for your online personality is inevitable. I recently read a fascinating article on this very subject and what we could possibly expect in the near future. I am especially torn about this because a universal ID would make my life considerably easier in a multitude of ways. That being said, I would obviously be very nervous about what the ramifications could be if my ID was somehow stolen. We are heading in that direction though and I guess we are going to have to all individually figure out what that means to us.
What are your thoughts on this? Nervous? Excited? Mortified?
