Comment Love for April 2009

Posted on 20 April, 2009 at 12:48pm with 6 comments

The last three or four weeks have been pretty quiet on this site. While I have pretty much kept up with the stream posts, the only real post I have put up recently was an apology for the busted server. On top of that, I have been hustling on some really cool work that I hope to publish soon which has cut into my writing time. My hope is all this work will pay off in the next few weeks to come. All that said, the blog still received 44 comments totaling $22.00 of Comment Love. All $22.00 was donated to KQED.

I apologize that it took me so long to get the donation in for the past month. This idea relies completely on the honor system that I am, in fact, making the donations I post. When you see the dollar amount on the top right of the home page, it is implied that I am in fact sending that money over. I will make it a point to be more prompt on this. All that said, I am really happy to announce that TechShots has implemented Comment Love on their site. I highly suggest checking out the blog as it has some great content — I suggest making a few comments while you are at it.

Comment Love for January 2009

Posted on 2 February, 2009 at 11:50am with 6 comments

With the first month of the relaunch past us, I am finally getting back into the swing of things and publishing Comment Love contributions for each month. January saw 34 comments totaling $17.00 of Comment Love. All $17.00 was donated to KQED.

I would like to hear if you find these posts useful or would otherwise like to see them omitted. I like to publish them for public record, but they honestly do not offer that much value to the blog in terms of content. Please let me know if you want to see them at the end of each month or would rather have them go away.

Comment Love for July 2008

Posted on 6 August, 2008 at 10:52am with 2 comments

Well, as expected, the posts are not frequent while I work on the redesign of this blog. Surprisingly, last month still had 30 comments – totaling $15.00 of Comment Love. All $15.00 was donated to KQED.

I will be dropping the amount of working hours per week in the next week or two which will help speed up the redesign process. The design is already at the point where I could implement a beta if I was not as concerned about getting all the details right. I hope to write a little about the process in the coming weeks. Thanks to all who have commented even with my lack of updates.

Comment Love for April 2008

Even with less posting after mid-April due to the ramp up for next month’s special Comment Love, we still managed to generate $16.50 thanks to 33 comments. All $16.50 was donated to KQED.

I was really surprised by the amount of comments that came in – more surprising were the articles they came from. I am hoping to spend more time actually analyzing patterns on participation on this blog so I can create content that interests more people yet sticks to the format and niche that I wish to focus in.

Stay tuned for this upcoming month, there should be a lot to see here.

Comment Love for February 2008

Posted on 3 March, 2008 at 8:17pm with no comments

I am still trying to find the right balance for commitment on this blog until things settle down. I was a bit infrequent in updates during February 2008, but we still had 35 comments – totaling $16.50 of Comment Love. All $16.50 was donated to KQED.

My blog break still has not fully kicked in, as can be seen with relatively frequent blog posts. Still, I can assure you that it will be coming soon. I am hoping that some guest posts will be coming – it is looking rather likely that it will in fact happen. My hope is that, even with the lack of posts from me, we will get above the $20 or $30 mark – something that has not happened in a while.

Fingers crossed…
