Another week, another list of links. This week proves to be another diverse group of internet gems for you to enjoy. I have noticed that the Design and Photography sections have been lacking for quite a few weeks so I will be making a concerted effort to balance things out from this point on. Nevertheless, enjoy the linkage.
Current Events
- Ann Coulter gets her freak on
- This is an absolute first for me. Never have I seen Hannity and Coulter get so put in place on their own show no less. With less and less ammunition, expect more and more of this in the future.

- Design Times Square: The Urban Forest Project brings 185 banners created by the world’s most celebrated designers, artists, photographers and illustrators to New York’s Times Square.

- Pepsi/Coke/India
- I know this may surprise you, but rumor has it that a large multinational corporation is taking advantage of the local population while causing environmental and health problems. Shocking!
- STEAL THIS FILM
- A film about file sharing by people who get it.
- Computers used to write news stories at Thompson Financial, Reuters; human reporters begin stockpiling AP style books for impending Skynet battle
- Holy crap - am I the only one that's a little creeped out by computers writing articles for new organizations? With Fox News, at least you can rest easy knowing that everyone responsible for creating their content continually wake up in a code sweat and c

- I may or may not have had something to do with this site. Have a look.
- Separation of Church and State?
- This whole immigration issue is absolutely heart-wrenching. Here's an extraordinary story that is beginning to unfold.
Design
- PHALLIC LOGO AWARDS
- Not really design but I thought putting it in this section would make it more humorous. These dudes need to get their minds out of the gutter.
- How to ‘edit’ exhibitions
- A very interesting article on the process of putting together an exhibition. One day I hope to be shown in one…
Web
- Official Google Blog: We love you, webmasters
- What seems to be a good list of resources pertaining to Google.
- Your About Page Is a Robot
- A great article on how to design your 'About' page and how important it is to do it well. Another great example how we tend to gloss over the easy yet amazingly important facets of site design.
- Follow the Leader
- Hilarious comic. Why think for ourselves when there are plenty of people willing to do it for us?
- Magpie and del.icio.us cache strangeness
- I'm still having problems at times with del.icio.us and Mapgie RSS. I just made the change that seemed to work in this message board thread. I'm hoping this does the trick but I'm not banking on it.
Photography
- San Francisco in Ruin
- An absolutely amazing photo showing the aftermath of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

- The largest nuclear weapon ever: Tsar Bomba 50 Megatons
- On the topic of nuclear weapons, this video is quite disturbing. Enjoy.

29.08.06 11:03 amExtremely good links this time. Thanks for bringing up Hiroshima. In my book, that was thet worst event in history and I can’t believe its fading from our memories. A nuclear bomb, for god’s sake. My grandmother’s high school friends died from it.
WoW Terrorist was too much for me to read. I HOPE it was partially fabricated. I don’t want to believe that story was true…
Same goes for the Forbes ‘Career Women’ article. I have a lot to say about that and just may blog about it
soon.
Phallic Awards and Ann Coulter (deliberately combined in one sentence.) I wonder how you found that link? With all the crap in the world, we need a good laugh occasionally.
Burning Man TV. Love the design and concept. I wonder what Tipper thinks about it? Hope she’s cringing in fear and disgust. I wouldn’t have known about this site if it wasn’t for your link. I really wanted to be at Burning Man this year, so this will be the closest I get to the dirt, heat, and craziness. Thanks for helping to make it happen!
