My last two photos were extremely dark, low exposed shots. I notice that I tend to naturally drift in that direction as it is, so I recently have been trying to push myself to take brighter photos. This particular shot is about as bright of a shot as I have taken.
As I described in my previous weekly photo, I have still only scratched the surface of San Francisco in the nine years I have lived here. The Presidio signifies an extremely large chunk of area that is quite virgin to me. What I love from the small amount I have seen of that area is the amazing diversity in old, new and untouched. I am not much of a nature photographer, but I am in awe of what Chris Honeysett has captured within the confines of the Presidio. I strongly believe that I am going to be spending more time in the area of the city - I really am looking forward to seeing the photos that come from it.

30.08.06 9:43 amThanks, I like it too.
I’m trying to integrate more content into each article while not actually doing too much extra work. I will be writing about it in the near future - it really is making the whole blogging experience less of a chore and more of a fun hobby… I know, shocking.

31.08.06 9:31 amShowing three posts at once is a great idea. How do you feel about the new layout? Are you going to stick to it?

31.08.06 9:39 amMajor changes are afoot. Before I would look at my web stats and just see if the number of visits were higher than the day before. Recently, I have really started to analyze my numbers and try to pull some meaning from them. Right now, my visit to page view ratio is much lower than I’d want it to be. I have no doubt that this is directly related to the lack of content on the home page and the lack of links on post pages.
While I want to keep my site simple and unobtrusive, I also need to take into consideration the notion that people may want additional links to click through, and I am not providing them. I am going to be doing a lot of thinking, sketching, discussing and reading before I make any huge changes. Until then, the three links on the home page is a small test to see if the visit to page view ratio improves.
Actually, we should chat about ideas. I’d love to hear any feedback or thoughts.
