Whew, I’m pooped. The Flash movie player which will be a cousin release to the Flash slideshow is moving along very nicely I must say.
Here’s the list so far…
- XML-driven playlist - COMPLETED
- Customized play-control interface (playlist, pause, play, etc.) - COMPLETED
- Custom-styled Flash Components
- Hi/Lo Res toggle capabilities
- Frame re-sizing feature
So as you can see, it’s about halfway complete not counting some re-coding of a few lines and bug checking. The XML-populated playlist was stupid easy and I’m hoping that I’ll have something to show by next week.
In terms of the bigger picture, I’m hoping to have the movie player and the slideshow work very similarly and seemlessly so that eventually I could have a whole media suite if I ever get around to making an Flash MP3 player. It probably wouldn’t be too useful to me, but to my buddy Yousuf, who does his own audio, this could be a really nice tool to show off his work.
I’m really hoping Sam and I can get some time to finish off the slideshow and see if it’s possible to add the video component as well. This could be REALLY cool…
