It has been another amazingly long week and I have slightly fallen behind in my blogging this week. Nonetheless, through all the craziness, here are this week’s links. Things should begin to start slowing down this week or next which will allow me to spend more time doing some actual writing. Until then, get busy clicking with this batch of linkage.
- A Trends Interview (Part 1 of 3) - Fadtastic
- Believe it or not, people out there are actually interested in what I have to say about web design. Fadtastic asked designers around the internet various questions about trends. Read my answers and everyone else’s.
- ClickTale
- Seems to be similar to CrazyEgg with an added twist - mouse movement tracking. Interesting.
- Monet for the Masses - The Blog Bit Me
- What do museums and cattle drives have to do with each other? Find out.
- HTML’s a Tag Too - Avalonstar
- Duh. Why didn’t I think of that.
- Clever Ad
- Amazing ad - for a bank of all places.
- In response to the old question, “What do I put in my Portfolio?” - The Art Department
- Good advice for aspiring artists.
- Label Placement in Forms - UX Matters
- If you are interested in UI design in the absolute slightest, this is a must read. I have changed how I design forms because of this article.
- Web Application Form Design - LukeW
- Another very good article about web forms.
- Canary Project
- Photographically documenting the effects of global warming. One word - scary. Perhaps it is time to get a TerraPass if you don’t have one already.
- IconWerk
- Beautiful icon work. Great design all around.
- Dandelife
- Interesting timeline web app. I gave it a quick look through and it seemed interesting.
- Non-Errors - Paul Brians
- Exciting reading about correct English grammar.
- Jon Stewart on Net Neutrality
- Nothing like having the future of the internet be in the hands of a man born before the invention of the lightbulb… Perhaps it is time to get involved if you haven’t already.
- Ask A Ninja: Special Delivery 7 “Pirates of the Caribbean” - Ask A Ninja
- A ninja in front of a camera critiques a film about a bunch of pirates in front of a camera.
- FUGLY
- Bad design on an epic scale. Part of the Ugly MySpace Content being run by ZeFrank
- FUGLIEST
- But this one takes the cake (turn on your speakers).
- Ford Bold Moves
- One part cheesiness, and a whole load of spin. You always have to laugh at those times when big business tries to regain the public’s trust - the groveling is priceless. I got a kick out oh how they kept saying how they just have to tell the truth. As opposed to the countless years where they didn’t tell the truth… Here’s an idea - make affordable, reliable cars that are fuel efficient or run on alternative fuels. Then you won’t have to spend the money lying to the public to convince them that you aren’t lying anymore.
- SocialFunds
- Socially responsible companies worth investing in so you can make some money without the guilt.
- Re: Natural Hallucinogen
- If this guy was willing to do this, the least I can do is give him a link.
