Server migrations can be a real bitch sometimes. It mostly depends on the speed of the domain name transfer I find, unless you keep your domain with a separate provider. You’ll have to keep us posted about your experiences with MT, I’m quite curious

So far, it looks like things went pretty smoothly. There were some frantic changes I had to make to rewire things according to the new configuration as well as a fairly decent list of things I need to move over, but as far as server migrations go, this was pretty painless.

I have been a big fan of Media Temple for quite some time now. I would love to see them go carbon neutral or at least have a ‘green’ package. Regardless of that, Media Temple seems to have the best package of performance and options of any webhost I have come across.

I had withdrawal symptoms last night while the site was down. Or maybe it was just the terrible heatwave getting to me. And then the comment love $ counter said NaN.! (Not available Now?) Is that your twisted way of copying NiN’s awesome logo? Just kidding.

NaN is lingo for “not a number”. Essentially, a request from the database was sending an error and sending invalid data.
