This took WAY too long… I have literally owned somerandomdude.com and somerandomdude.org for years and I have just been too lazy to redirect them to this server. Well, that is no longer the case. While it is not much to scream about, it is going to make one of my buddies very, very happy.
Alex, I told you I would do it. It just took me an extraordinarily long time. :)

1.04.2007 5:08 amPJ, you should perhaps consider making the .org domain a redirect to .com, rather than just pointing it to the same web space, else the domain might be considered content duplication by the search engines. Just a thought mate.

1.04.2007 9:38 pmHmmm, you were going to use an apache Rewrite before, but it looks like you might have decided on something else. With that method you can specify a ‘permanent’ redirection, which I have been told doesn’t count against you in terms of content duplication.
What method did you end up using?

2.04.2007 6:48 pmSo basically you are monopolizing the internet with your awesome blog. It is a take over in the communications industry like AT&T. Yes, you are just like AT&T. , Enron, Halliburton, Wal-Mart, and Satan! :)

Wild Guess – I didn’t know Satan worked his evil through anti-trust business tactics…
You seem to have forgotten the ever-important .info, .biz, .tv and the other plethora of domain name extensions available. I only have three. :)

2.04.2007 10:38 pmHow about this for another domain name (if the gov’t approves of the extention): http://www.somerandomdude. xxx
Ha ha! Can you imagine all the traffic you would receive?
Wild Guess
2.04.2007 10:50 pmNo, somerandom dude, you are the one who has forgotten to take advantage of the “plethora of domain name[s]“. Truthfully, I really think you should absorb that “plethora” and really work the internet to your advantage. In fact start taking other random or very common names and just have it link to your blog. For example, how about rootbeer, candlewax, or treebark .com’s but instead of a bubbly drink, olde tyme candle dipping, or some nature site it all links back to your blog. Those names really have nothing to do with your “plethora” of links or articles but who cares…more internet real estate gobbled up by the great conglomorate that is somerandomSATAN!

2.04.2007 11:51 pmkellie – I will have to look into that… I can see it now, scantily clothed… um… Actionscript?
And yes, his choice of footwear has not been lost in the equation. ;)
Wild Guess – Funny enough, just tonight I was thinking the domain name muypequeno.com would be fun. No idea why…
Also, you’re sorta creeping me out with this whole Satan thing. I am really being honest here, I am not Satan. I think you should look elsewhere.

3.04.2007 10:49 amPhew….for a second there I anticipated that you gave Wild Guess a link to the White House, Walmart, or Coulter’s blog. What’s so Satanic about a children’s site? ;-)

3.04.2007 11:01 amIt’s just way too damned creepy. There’s something about those oopy-goopy children’s programs that just creep me out. I feel like those little things are going to snap at any moment and turn on us. Kind of like “Gremlins”.
