I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your support of the Comment Charity idea. I thought the Comment Love program on Some Random Dude was such a good idea, I knew I had to do something like it. Thanks again to SRD for letting me “borrow” the idea.

While I’ve done a few charity related things with my blog in the past, this was the first time I’ve been able to put something long term into effect. I agree with SRD, if we can just get more blogs to jump on board, the blogging community could really start to make a difference.

I hope you all enjoy the content that I put on my site, and I’d love to see some of you commenting for charity at DYH. A few words can go a long way to making a difference, and amazing things can happen.

Technorati says it currently tracks 70.9 million blogs – I am positive that there are more than that floating around, but let’s use that number for now. If 0.1% of the blogs (7,090) took on some program such as this and generated only $20 a month, $141,800 would be generated each month – totaling $1,701,600 a year.

So yeah, I really hope more blogs start jumping on this bandwagon. Amazing things could happen.
