January 2008 was a great month for traffic, however the comments are not keeping up. January had 37 comments which ended up totaling $18.50. All $18.50 was donated to Carbonfund.
With this month’s contribution, we offset 9,554 miles driven from a car with the average miles per gallon (25.2 mpg) or 3.36 tons of C02 according to Carbonfund’s calculator. We still are far from the $50 limit, but eliminating close to 10,000 miles of driving is not too shabby.
I am definitely back into the swing of things and will continue to put out 3 posts a week. I am really trying to concentrate on one quality article each week which can be a challenge at times. Luckily, February has the potential to be open for some writing and finalizing of projects. Hopefully that will bring more comments…

4.02.2008 12:19 pmI really like this idea, I would love to do the same on my own blog, but I will have to wait until I am a little older, hehe.

4.02.2008 12:50 pmHey Bull3t, how about donating £.02 (equivalent to 5¢?) for every comment? Every little bit helps. :)

5.02.2008 7:59 amActually, I may decide to do that. Do you use a WordPress plugin that counts up how much is going to be donated, I would make one but if you already have one going I’ll use that.
Thanks!

7.02.2008 8:17 amDude, you got a WordPress plugin or shall I make one?

7.02.2008 10:56 amHey Bull3t – no I don’t have a plugin yet, although I am planning on releasing one eventually. If you’d like to beat me to the punch, that would be awesome!

7.02.2008 11:47 amHmm, okay. Not sure whether making it able to send the money is possible, but don’t think that is really needed. I will see what I can do.
